The 15th Annual Asia-Pacific Tax Forum (APTF) 2024 was the first held in Malaysia, with about 350 participants attending. This forum was supported by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia, and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
As a leading brand in cloud tax solutions in Malaysia, we proudly introduced our local brand to attendees from 18 countries at the forum, showcasing how we have assisted over 890 tax firms in Malaysia in their digital transformation.
The forum discussed the complex interaction of globalization, digitalization, and the need to move to a green economy, which has reengineered traditional business models, creating the need to diversify tax system architecture. There were additional sessions discussing topics such as tax policy and regional cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, global developments in corporate taxation, tax issues in Islamic finance and the extractive sector in the Asia-Pacific region, indirect tax policy and administration, regional integration and the need for coordination in indirect taxes, and the implementation of e-invoicing systems and transfer pricing controversy issues and opportunities.
